ALMA QUINTANA (México) 

Creadora escénica egresada de la Escuela  Nacional de danza clásica y contemporánea del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA) como bailarina en danza contemporánea. Becaria por el Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes para estudiar (guest student) en la School for New Dance Development (SNDO) en Holanda en 2011. 
Obtiene en 2009 la beca danceWeb dentro del marco del Impulstanz International Dance Festival en Viena bajo la tutoria de Philipp Gehmacher (Austria) y Cristine de Smedt (Bélgica). Ha tomado clases y talleres con: Iñaki Azpillaga, Jennifer Lacey, David Zambrano, Josef Frucek y  Linda Kapetanea, Josef Nadj, Frank Micheletti, John Jasperse, Marion Ballester, Jeremy Nelson, Lluis Ayet, Muriel Piquet entre otros y de danza buto con Akira Kasai, Ko Murobushi y Mitsuyo Uesugi.
Crea en 2010 el solo escénico REsonando, y en 2009 y 2008 las coreografías Franchir y Nemini. La invitan a participar en el SKITE project 2010 en Caen, Francia organizado por Jean Marc Adolphe. En 2008 dentro de la Tercera Noche de Teatro trabaja con PROYECTO 3 en los proyectos de los directores escénicos Jean Frederic Chevallier (Francia) y Matthieu Mevel (Italia) y en 2005 en el encuentro Dialogue du Corps organizado por Salia ni Seydou en Burkina Faso. Como intérprete ha colaborado con las compañías como Foco al Aire, Kubilai Khan Investigations e Inside the Body bajo la dirección de Octavio Zeivy, Frank Micheletti y Aladino Blanca.
Actualmente se encuentra investigando y colaborando en los proyectos BEe dance con la colombiana Sandra Gómez y Blurry Smashed Blueberries con el suizo Pierre-Yves Diacon.

Dancer/choreographer graduated from the National Contemporary Dance School (National Institute of Fine Arts) from 2001 to 2006. She gets from the National Arts and Culture Funding the scholarship to study in the guest student program (2011) in the School for New Dance development (SNDO) in Amsterdam. She got the danceWeb scholarship in 2009 for the Impulstanz International Festival in Viena mentored by Philipp Genmacher and Cristine de Smedt. She has studied and took workshops with Iñaki Azpillaga, Jennifer Lacey, David Zambrano, Josef Frucek, and Linda Kapetanea, Josef Nadj, Frank Micheletti, John Jasperse, Marion Ballester, Jeremy Nelson, Lluis Ayet, Muriel Piquet, among others, and butoh with Akira Kasai, Ko Murobushi and Mitsuyo Uesugi.
She creates in 2010 the solo REsonando and in 2009 and 2008 the choreographies Franchir and Nemini. She is invited to participate in the SKITE project 2010 in Caen, France organized by Jean Marc Adolphe.
In 2008 she works in the Third Night Theater organized by the grupo PROYECTO 3 with the scene directors Jean Fredéric Chevallier (France) and Matthieu Mevel (Italy) and in 2005 in the encounter Dialogue du Corps organized by Salia Ni Seydou in Burkina Faso.She has danced with the companies Foco al Aire, Kubilai Khan Investigations and Inside the Body, by the direction of Octavio Zeivy, Frank Micheletti and Aladino Blanca.
She is now researching and collaborating in the projects BEe dance with the colombian Sandra Gómez and Blurry Smashed Blueberries with the swiss Pierre-Yves Diacon.

Liberar o consumar el último instante de vida. ¿Morir?.
Comunicar, colaborar, convivir y experimentar nuestra vulnerabilidad. Varios sistemas dialogan: sencillos y complejos, tejiendo distintas capas y secretos. ¿cuál es nuestro presente? ¿Cómo percibimos al otro? Temporalidad frágil e instantes inmóviles.

To release or carry out the last alive instant... ¿To die?. 
To communicate, to collaborate, to coexist and have the experience of our vulnerability. Different systems dialogue: simple and complex, weaving many layers and secrets. ¿What is the present? ¿How we perceive the "other"? Fragile temporality and stillness.
